It's Summer! Time to weed in the garden and the stacks.
"Morning is the best of all times in the garden. The sun is not yet hot. Sweet vapors rise from the earth. Night dew clings to the soil and makes plants glisten. Birds call to one another. Bees are already at work." William Longgood

Chicken Truck, Chicken Truck, Just My Luck!

A patron came in yesterday and asked for a book about housing chickens. I'm not thinking that would be a common question for urban or suburban libraries, but in Carroll county it is. All of our books are in the hands of poultry keepers accross the county, I told her about my "chicken tractor" that I made out of old cron crib panels. Yum, egg omelet with a little fresh asparagus tips.

Great new picture of the bed next to the house.

What a great idea! When you need to clean the cage, do you just roll it a few feet to a new location? Sort of all-purpose lawn fertilizer and potpie supporter.
