It's Summer! Time to weed in the garden and the stacks.
"Morning is the best of all times in the garden. The sun is not yet hot. Sweet vapors rise from the earth. Night dew clings to the soil and makes plants glisten. Birds call to one another. Bees are already at work." William Longgood

"To learn it, do it!"

As I search for a learning quote that would be most precsient and qualify as "appropriate" for LATI I wander on both sides of the fence of practical and abstract. Here are a few more-

"Vertical thinking is digging the same hole deeper. Lateral thinking is trying again elsewhere." Edward de Bono.

"To learn it, do it!" - Roger Schank.

Marvin Phillips:
The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!

The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate "aparently ordinary" people to unusual effort. The tough proplem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people.
K. Patricia Cross

What is important is to keep learning, to enjoy challenge, and to tolerate ambiguity. In the end there are no certain answers.
Martina Horner, President of Radcliffe College

As far as the last quote there have been several times in my life when I thought I knew without question answers but as I change and hopefully grow it is clear life is always in flux.
